Faezeh Gharavi, Iran's sole representative in the individual show jumping event at the Asian Games, competed alongside her horse, Indigo; she finished in 24th place after incurring 38 penalties (12 for obstacles and 26 for time).
The head of the Equestrian Federation explained the situation regarding the Iranian rider's result at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games: "Ms. Gharavi's score remains unchanged, and she still holds the 24th position; however, competition rules stipulate that a maximum of two riders per country may participate in the final. Consequently, the third-ranked riders from several nations were eliminated, and Ms. Faezeh Gharavi was included in the final list of equestrian finalists."
The final round of the competition is scheduled to take place October 4th.
